Site information

Privacy policy

This policy explains information used by overthehillgame.space, optional YouTube playback and your privacy choices. Effective October 15, 2026.

Data collected and purposes

Reading guides does not require an account. This release has no contact form, comments, newsletter or advertising code. Optional Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity load only after separate permission. Searches run locally in your browser and are not submitted to our server. Language selection follows the page URL.

When you email us, your email address and message are used to answer the request, review corrections or handle privacy and copyright matters. Messages are retained only as needed for those purposes and applicable obligations. Hosting providers may process IP addresses, request times, browser details and security logs to deliver and protect the site; actual server retention depends on the deployed provider.

Local storage and YouTube

The browser may store your optional-video preference as oth-video-consent. This is a site preference, not an advertising identifier. You can withdraw it through Privacy / cookie settings, which also unloads active video players. Blocking storage does not block article access.

No YouTube player or remote YouTube thumbnail loads until you choose to load video. At that point Google/YouTube receives data such as your IP address, device information and the page origin and may use cookies or other identifiers under its own policies. Our reset cannot delete Google-domain cookies; use browser controls and Google privacy settings for those.

Google and third-party advertising

No ads are active in this release. If Google AdSense is enabled later, Google and third-party advertising partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver, measure and personalize ads based on visits to this and other sites. The policy and actual consent controls must be updated before that change.

You can manage personalized Google ads at My Ad Center and other participating companies at aboutads.info/choices. Those controls are separate from this site’s video setting. Personalized Google ads in the EEA, UK or Switzerland require an appropriate Google-certified CMP; the video setting here is not that CMP.

Your choices and requests

You may request access, correction or deletion of information you sent us, subject to applicable limits, through Contact us. You may also have objection, restriction, portability, consent-withdrawal or complaint rights under applicable law. Do not send identity documents unless a necessary verification method has first been agreed.

We do not request precise location, sell contact messages or build sensitive advertising audiences. The site is a general gaming resource, not an account service directed to children. If a child has sent personal data, a parent or guardian can request review through Contact us.

Optional analytics and hosting

Cloudflare Pages delivers and protects this website and may process IP addresses, request times, browser information and security logs. See https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

With your separate permission, Google Analytics 4 measures visits, pages and interactions using technical device information and first-party _ga cookies. Microsoft Clarity records masked page content and interactions, device information and session identifiers using _clck and _clsk cookies. Clarity is optional for visitors aged 18 or older. Do not enter sensitive information in search fields. We do not enable advertising personalization, Google signals or user identification.

Neither analytics provider is loaded before permission or after refusal. We save your independent selections in oth-analytics-consent-v1 for 180 days. If browser storage fails, the necessary preference cookie oth_analytics_deny and the session-only preference oth-analytics-denied-v1 keep optional analytics off; these are not tracking identifiers. Change or withdraw them through Privacy / cookie settings in the footer; withdrawal disables collection, removes accessible first-party analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop active scripts. Blocking storage does not block article access; choices may then not persist. Withdrawal does not erase previously retained provider data or cookies on third-party domains. Contact us for data requests. See https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
