Over the hill meteorites: finding impacts and demo extraction
Find the glowing impact after a falling meteor. If you are playing the June demo, connect the rear winch directly to the meteorite, then apply throttle while pulling the winch. The exact full-release extraction sequence has not been verified, so the demo steps below are kept separate.
Quick guide
Two version branches. Do not treat the June demo extraction as a tested launch-build solution.
- Identify your build: June demo instructions are below; full-release controls remain a gap.
- Locate the visible impact and approach with room to reposition the car.
- June demo only: connect rear winch directly to meteorite; throttle and pull together.
- For large demo meteorites, each helper attaches directly to the rock rather than chaining cars.
Full release: find the impact, then recognise the evidence gap
Use the visible fall and glowing landing point to decide where to drive. Approach from ground where you can turn or reverse rather than trapping the car against the impact.
The exact current attachment prompt, required pull and completion cue are not confirmed here. We cannot give you a reliable release-build extraction sequence yet. Do not follow an invented key combination or drive to a claimed fixed coordinate from an older demo.
June demo only: rear winch, throttle and pull
Bring a vehicle with its winch usable and position it so the rear attachment can pull away from the meteorite.
- Select the rear winch attachment and connect it directly to the meteorite.
- Apply throttle and pull the winch together to tug it out.
- If a large meteorite does not move in multiplayer, have each helper connect directly to it; do not connect the helpers to another car.
- Continue only once the rock has come free; inspect the resulting completion/reward display before leaving. No fixed pull duration or payout is established here.
June demo only: fix the connection before repeating the pull
If the cable ends on another car, disconnect and attach to the meteorite itself. If the car is wedged against terrain, reposition it before repeating the throttle-and-winch pull. More cars in a chain are not the developer’s advice for a large meteorite.
